First Batch of Iranian Pilgrims to Leave for Holy Shrines in Iraq

TEHRAN The first group of Iranian pilgrims to the holy shrines in Karbala, Iraq from Tehran Province will be seen off officially in Tehran on Friday, Head of Martyr foundation Hojjatoleslam Rahimyan said on Wednesday. 220 pilgrims including parents of the martyrs of the sacred defence from Tehran Province will pay pilgrimage to the holy shrines in Karbala and Najaf, Rahimyan said.
He said the group will go to Iraq from Khosravi frontier line in western province of Kermanshah. Rahimyan said the parents of the martyrs throughout the country would register with provincial offices of Martyr Foundation to arrange their pilgrimage to Karbala. (IRNA)
